Linda E. Reckin
Linda E. Reckin, age 71 of Colfax, formerly of Eau Galle, died Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at the Tainter Adult Family Home in Colfax after a life long battle with Cerebral Palsy.
Linda was born on July 19, 1952 in Durand. She was the daughter of LaVerne and Valois (Alton) Reckin. Linda grew up on the farm in Eau Galle where she lived with her parents until her father’s passing in 1993 and then with her mother until her mother’s passing in 2007. After the death of her mother, Linda moved to her home at the Tainter Adult Family Home. Linda enjoyed her time there and it quickly became her home.
Linda enjoyed going for car rides and listening to music. Most of all, Linda loved spending time with her family and friends.
Linda is survived by her brother Larry (Linda) of Eau Galle, four nephews Lonnie (Gabrielle) of Hudson, Lynn (Theresa) of Menomonie, Lance (Sarah) of Cedar Falls and Loren (Kari) of Durand, special caretaker Kim Stabenow, great nieces, great nephews, other relatives and the staff and residents of the Tainter Adult Family Home. She is preceded in death by her parents and nephew Larry Lee Reckin.
Funeral Services will be 11:00AM Saturday, January 13, 2024 at the Rhiel Funeral Home in Durand with Rev. David Kim officiating. Burial will be in the Clearview Cemetery in Eau Galle. Visitation will be 10:00AM until the time of services at the funeral home on Saturday.
