  8. Amy Forster Layne

My condolences to the family. I have so many fond memories of cousin Gale! At times he was like an older brother, so sweet and patient with a nosy little girl who followed him around observing the wonders of the farm. From him I learned how to shoot a BB gun, trap a gopher and test an electric fence with a blade of foxtail. I loved how he pushed me in the old rope swing in that huge tree down by the granary. It was like flying!
