Scott A Asher

Scott A. “Scooter” Asher, age 57 of Menomonie, died suddenly and unexpectedly on Monday, January 15, 2024 at Mayo Clinic Health System – Eau Claire.

Scott was born on June 11, 1966 in Durand. He was the son of John and Doris (Miller) Asher. Scott grew up in the Elmwood area and attended Elmwood High School where he participated in sports, but had a love for wrestling. During and after High School, Scott helped his dad haul milk around the Elmwood area. In 1993, Scott met the love of his life Terri (Higens). They were married on June 10, 1994 in Menomonie. He then spent the rest of his working career either hauling milk or driving truck over-the-road, working for various companies along the way.

Scott enjoyed spending time with family, listening to classic rock and country music, and watching the Packers play. There was always laughter, and never a dull moment when Scott was around. He was a kind-hearted man with a heart of gold. Scott was a beloved husband, devoted father, and doting grandfather.

Scott is survived by his wife of 29 years, Terri, daughter Ashley (Branden) Kittle, three grandchildren Leah, Lexi and Carter, sister Donna Niemela, three brothers Lynn (Eileen), Larry (Bonnie), and Richard (Vicky), nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. He is proceeded in death by his parents, brothers Jim and Bernard and his nephew Erik.

Scott will be deeply missed by family, friends and all who knew him.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
