Verlyn J. Williams
Verlyn J. Williams, age 90, of Menomonie, passed away on January 25, 2024, in Menomonie.
Verlyn, or “Willy”, as he was known by friends, was born in Barron County, WI, the son of Marcus and Ruby (Cress) Williams. Willy married Sharon Wegan in 1958. They moved to Colorado to raise a family. There he spent many years before returning to Wisconsin.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Sharon, and a brother-in-law, Verdell Oakland.
Verlyn is survived by his son Michael; grandchildren, Gregory and Raymond; sisters, Lauretta Oakland and Marleen (Arnold) Henderson; brothers and sisters-in-law, Wayne and Gary Wegan and Janet Glaser; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be held at a later date at the Cedar Falls Cemetery, rural Menomonie.
