Judy I Schlosser

Judy I Schlosser

Judy Irene Schlosser, age 80 of Durand, passed away Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at her daughters home peacefully, after a yearlong battle with cancer.

Judy was born on April 28, 1944 in Arkansaw. She was the daughter of Leon and Elsie (Hubbard) Doverspike. Judy grew up in Arkansaw and graduated from Arkansaw High School. Judy married Ronald Schlosser, where they had 4 children and resided in Durand. Later in life they divorced. Judy was very active in her children’s lives while they went to St. Mary’s School. She headed up various groups, Altar Society, PTO and various Fundraising Projects for the School and Church. Judy spent many hours with her coffee clutch group friends at East Side Grocery, Zita, Linda and Genette. Her true love was baking and cooking for family, friends and various organizations. If you knew her, then you were fortunate to have some of her goodies she whipped up. She absolutely loved all her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. Her favorite outing was always to go eat Chinese with family.

Judy is survived by her 4 children, Melissa A Schoeder of Durand, Terry J. (Gina) of Pepin, Teresa L. (Brian Zastrow) of Arcadia and Kris L. of Durand, 9 Grandchildren, 7 Great Grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers Jim and Kenneth Doverspike.

A celebration of life will be held from 4:00pm – 7:00pm Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at the Rhiel Funeral Home in Durand. A private family burial will take place at the Arkansaw Memorial Cemetery in Arkansaw at a later date.

Memorials may made in Judy’s names to Assumption Schools

A special thanks to Kim Hoyt and Jane Poeschel of Advent Health giving her last wishes.
