Leonard G Todd

Leonard G. Todd, age 89 of Eau Galle, died Saturday, November 9, 2024 at his home in Eau Galle with his family by his side.

Leonard was born on April 14, 1935 at home in rural Elmwood. He was the son of Galen and Evelyn (Kelm) Todd. He grew up in Elmwood area and graduated from Durand High School. After high school, Leonard continued his career in farming, he farmed with his family in the Eau Galle area. Leonard married Geraldine Pickerign on July 28, 1956 at the Eau Galle United Methodist Church. After marriage, Leonard and Geraldine continued farming and raising their family. Leonard enjoyed the long hours working in the fields, and the satisfaction of a good harvest.

In his younger years, Leonard played the accordion and sang in church and at many weddings. Leonard and Geraldine enjoyed traveling together. A quick trips to Duluth for a piece of pie was not unheard of. Going ballroom dancing in the Twin Cities was their weekly escape from the farm. In his spare time, Leonard liked restoring and painting old John Deere tractors. Most of all, Leonard enjoyed spending time and talking with family and friends.

Leonard is survived by his wife of 68 years, Geraldine; children, Tammy Baier of Eau Galle; Gerilen (Bill) Anderson of Baldwin; Traci (Richard) White of Menomonie; Ty (Kathy) Todd of Elmwood; 15 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial Services will be 11:00AM Thursday, November 21, 2024 at the Durand United Methodist Church in Durand. with Rev. David Kim officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00AM until the time of services at the church on Thursday.

    I am so sorry for your loss. We will all sorely miss Uncle Leonard's quick wit and humor. I loved being with him and listening to him talk about his latest travels and adventures. He is now surrounded by the joy and love of our Father and Savior! One day he will greet us who remain and are still on our journey. Love you all!
