Lorraine M Komro

Lorraine M. Komro, age 101 of Durand, died Friday, May 30, 2025 at the Plum City Care Center in Plum City.

Lorriane was born on March 20 1924 in Menomonie. She was the daughter of Stanley and Margaret (Brehm) Frazier. Lorraine graduated from Menomonie High School in 1942 and then entered the telephone communication world. In 1945 she took a job with Wis Bell Tel and then to Northwestern Bell company in St. Paul, and Minneapolis, MN. Lorraine worked in six different departments in the two cities. She was loan officer for the St. Paul Telephone Credit Union and a organizer for many benefits for Pioneer Communications of America and was a life member. Lorraine retired in 1977 after 32 years of service. In 1978, she moved to Durand, where she married her husband William. Lorraine was a life member of Altar Society at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Lima. She enjoyed working in the flower garden, cooking and baking, but was happiest when she was with her family and friends. Lorraine was a very strong Packers fan.

Lorraine is survived by her son, Robert (Roberta) of Stone Lake; step-daughter, Patricia (Bruce) Prissel of Eau Claire; step-sons, Jack (Carole) Komro of Eau Claire; Bill (Pat) Komro of Eau Claire; James (Millie) Komro of Indianapolis, IN and Donald (Joe) Komro of Golden Valley, MN; 36 grandchildren, 72 great grandchildren, sisters, Barbara Stene of Oakdale, MN and Nancy (Bill) Horwitz of North Carolina; brother, Gerald Woodward of Phoenix, AZ; many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, William, sisters, Patrica (Jack) Crossman; Val (Howard) Trickey; brother, Antone Frazier, brother-in-law, Al Stene; step-father, Manley Woodward, step-daughters, Dorothy (Bill) Forsythe; Cindy (Mike) Peterson; step-sons, Jerold (Irma) Komro; Richard Komro;

Graveside Services will be 3:00PM Tuesday, June 24, 2025 at Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery-Lima in Durand. A Celebration of Life will be held from 3:30PM-5:00PM at the Orton Room at the Corral Bar & Grill in Durand.

Memorials are preferred to Holy Rosary Catholic Church.

    We are so sorry for the loss of Lorraine. She was a loving mother and grandmother and great grandmother! She took excellent care of Grandpa in his later years. We will try to make it to her Service on the 24th.
