Carol D Neis
Carol D. Neis, age 93, of Durand, WI, passed away on Monday, August 11th, 2025, at Chandler Regional Medical Center in Chandler, Arizona.
Carol was born October 3rd, 1931, in Durand to Fred and Dorothy (Faast) Koller. Carol was an only child and grew up in the Lima/Durand area. Many of Carol’s early years and memories she often spoke of were spent at Koller’s Pavillion that her parents Fred and Dorothy owned and operated. Carol’s father had an immense impact on her life and life’s philosophies that she still carried with her at 93.
Carol married Tom Neis, and they spent over 63 years together in marriage. Carol and Tom owned and operated Koller & Company Inc. for 47 years while also managing farms. These endeavors gave Carol immense pride and happiness.
Carol loved shopping, spending time with her granddaughter, Brittny, reading, vacationing in Arizona with Tom over the years, and doing anything that kept her mind active even up until her passing at 93 years old. She spent the last 2 years living in Arizona full-time near her family.
Carol helped raise Brittny and was like a mother to her. The love she had for Brittny was the truest, most selfless, love anyone could show toward another person. She will be missed beyond measure.
Carol is survived by her granddaughter, Brittny Neis; grandson-in-law, Dan Stone; cousins, Dorothy Rasmussen (Frank) of Arizona, and Daniel Rasmussen of California. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Neis; son, Gregg Neis; and her parents.
Visitation will be held at Rhiel Funeral Home in Durand, WI, on Friday, September 5th from 4-7pm. Church services and burial will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church Saturday, September 6th at 11am.
