Ivan A Mason

Ivan A Mason, age 75 of Durand, died Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at the Plum City Care Center in Plum City.

Ivan was born on September 17, 1949 in Wabasha, MN. He was the son of Wayne and Wilma (Letts) Mason. Ivan grew up in Nelson and graduated from Alma High School in 1968. He was drafted into the U.S. Army and served in Korea until he was honorably discharged. Ivan married Linda Berger, together they had two sons and later divorced. Ivan worked at the paper mill in Eau Claire until he had to retire due to health issues.

Ivan enjoyed classic cars and did autobody on the side with his friend Gary Fahnel. He also liked fishing and hanging out with his friend Bill Bee, playing cards and going to dinner with his special friend, Donna Mann. Ivan loved his family and was proud of his grandchildren and enjoyed attending their events.

Ivan is survived by his sons, Scott (Cindy) of Arkansaw and Chad (Becky) of Durand; four grandchildren, Tessa (Thomas Smyth); Logan; Brooklyn (Wesley) and Ryan, special friend, Donna Mann of Rock Falls, brother-in-law, Ardell Hanson of Nelson, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Wayne and Wilma, siblings, Shirley Hanson; Charlotte Jamison and Duane Mason.

A Visitation will be held from 4:00PM-7:00PM Tuesday, September 16, 2025 at the Rhiel Funeral Home in Durand.
