Arla M Scholz

Arla M Scholz, age 86 of Webster, died Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at Riverwood Eagles Nest in Wisconsin Dells.

Arla was born on March 5, 1939 on the home farm. She was the daughter of Johley and Alice (Snider) Hoyt. Arla grew up in Eau Galle and graduated from Elmwood High School. After school, Arla lived in Plum City and worked at the hospital as a nurse’s aide. While there, she met and married Durwood Scholz on October 27, 1962 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Plum City. After marriage, they moved to Webster where they worked and raised their family. In later years, they spent many summers camping in the mountains in Montana and Wyoming.

Arla enjoyed sewing, coloring, baking, hiking and camping.

Arla is survived her husband of 63 years, Durwood, two children, DJ (Tina) of Oxford and Rindy (Jeff) Raschke of Danbury, five grandchildren, Rathorn (Cassandra), Argon, Darius (Marlee), Connor (Chelsea) and Sydney (John), one great granddaughter, LillyAnn, siblings, Denton (Donna) Hoyt, Delton (Sue) Hoyt, Opal (Art) Larson and Peter Hoyt, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Sonja Scholz and siblings.

Funeral Mass will be 11:00AM Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Plum City with Rev. Juneabe V Villapaz officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00AM until the time of services at the church on Wednesday. A Celebration of Life will be held immediately following the burial at Molly’s on Main in Plum City.
