Bonnie M Black

Bonnie M. Black age 81 of Durand, died Wednesday, October 15, 2025 at AdventHealth in Durand with her family by her side.

Bonnie was born on May 26, 1944 in Chippewa Falls. She was the daughter of Earl and Verona (Prill) Pinnerud. Bonnie grew up in the Meridean area and graduated from Durand High School in 1962. On December 8, 1962 Bonnie married Earl Black at the Rock Creek Lutheran Church. After marriage, they lived in Durand, where they raised their family. Bonnie worked at the Durand Café and Ben Franklin for several years before joining the family business, Black’s Valley Ag. She worked there until retirement in 2022.

Bonnie was a huge fan of Elvis Presley. When traveling, they often stopped at important places Elvis was. She also enjoyed going to country music concerts and traveling. Most of all, Bonnie loved spending time with family and friends.

Bonnie is survived by her husband of 62 years, Earl, four children, David (Anna), Donald (Amy), both of Durand, Tim (Corinne) of Holcombe and Tom (Jodi) of Eau Claire, eight grandchildren, Tiffany (Jon), Cassie (Eric), Stephanie, Trevor (Marissa), Brett (Hannah), Hunter (Dianne), Kayla (Hunter) and Dylan (Riley), 15 great grandchildren, one sister, Shirley (Ben) Buchholtz of Rock Falls, sister-in-law, Bonnie Pinnerud, nieces, nephews, other relatives. She is preceded in death by her parents and three siblings, Judy Wik, Dean Pinnerud and Dale Pinnerud.

Funeral Services will be 11:00AM Wednesday, October 22, 2025 at Faith Lutheran Church in Durand with Rev. Bethany Walker officiating. Private family burial will be in the Maxville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00PM-7:00PM Tuesday at the Rhiel Funeral Home and one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday.

    Saddened to hear of Bonnie's passing. My Mom and I used to have coffee at McDonalds at the same time that Bonnie was having lunch in the afternoon. Had such great visits with her. Keeping you all in our

    Enjoyed many a visits with Bonnie and Earl and the kids. I got my first puppy from the Blacks. Always remember the boys went duck hunting but Bonnie wasn’t a fan of eating them, so they brought them to us. She was a lovely lady. I can still hear her laughter in my head. My sympathy to the family.
