Shawn P. Bauer age 46 of Durand, passed away Thursday, October 16, 2025.

Shawn was born on January 19, 1979 in Durand. He was the son of Patrick A. and Marcia J. (Milliren) Bauer. Shawn grew up in Durand and graduated from Durand High School in 1997. After high school, Shawn worked in concrete his whole life. Shawn married Katie M. Hooker, together they had two children and later divorced.

Shawn enjoyed being outside fishing and hunting for ginseng and morrell mushrooms. He was always willing to help anyone in need and had a great sense of humor. Shawn loved spending time with his family, especially his children, nieces, nephews and his dogs.

Shawn is survived by his children, Blade S. Bauer and Cadence M. Bauer, both of Durand, parents, Patrick A. and Marcia J. of Durand, siblings, Tracy A. (Jerrold) Sterry of Pepin, Troy A. (Nicole Bowman) Bauer of Elmwood and Tammy S. (Deke) Almsted of Arkansaw, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by a brother, Corey A. Bauer, in infancy.

A Visitation will be held from 4:00PM-6:00PM, Monday, October 27, 2025 at the Rhiel Funeral Home in Durand. A Celebration of Life will be held immediately following the visitation at Tammy & Deke Almsted’s residence, W7000 Tammy Dr., Arkansaw, WI 54721.
