Robert L Wulff

Robert “Bob” Leroy Wulff

Robert passed away in his sleep on November 10, 2025.  He was born on August 22, 1936 to Martin and Cora (Olson) Wulff of Mondovi, Wisconsin.  He was the second oldest of his four siblings: Joseph, Kenny, Bruce, & Rodger.  He was a member of Central Lutheran Church in Mondovi.  Robert graduated from Mondovi High School in 1954 and joined the United States Army.  He served his country in Anchorage, Alaska.  On May 2 of 1959, he married Carol Paulson.  They went on to live in Mondovi, Madison, Waunakee, and Durand.

Robert worked for Phoenix Steel and the State Highway Department as a bridge inspector.  In 1973, he purchased Newsburger Welding Shop and opened Durand Welding in downtown Durand.  A fire in 1976 caused him to rebuild Durand Welding on Highway 25.  He owned and operated Durand Welding for 40 years before he sold it to its current owner, Randy Wulff, in 2013.

When not working, Robert enjoyed taking long drives, deer hunting, and fishing in Canada.  Robert also enjoyed wintering in Arizona and his time as a member of Faith Lutheran Church (Durand).  Additionally, you could catch Robert watching Wheel of Fortune on a nightly basis as well as the Brewers and the Packers whenever they had games.

He and Carol had six children: Lee, Linda (Jim) Immenschuh, Scott, Sheri (Scott) Vandehey, Randy (Natalie), and Sarah (Michael Gubbels) Arnold.  He was later blessed with 17 grandchildren: Cory and Sammy (Melissa); Jeremiah (Brea), Joshua, Hannah, and Benjamin; Amanda (Gil), Benjamin, and Cole; Faith, Becca, Matthew, Michael, and Emma; Jonathan (Makenzie), Bethany, and Dwayne.  He also has three great-grandchildren:  Alexander, Ellisyn, and Isla.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Martin & Cora, brother, Joe, and grandson, Dwayne.

Memorial Services will be 11:00AM Monday, November 17, 2025 at Faith Lutheran Church in Durand with Rev. Bethany Walker officiating. Military Honors will be provided by the Durand American Legion Post #181 of Durand. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery in Mondovi at a later date. Visitation will be from 10:00AM until the time of services at the church on Monday.
