Arvilla D Kuhn
Arvilla D. Kuhn, age 84 of Nelson, formerly of Durand, died Monday, October 12, 2009 at the St. Elizabeth Health Care Center in Wabasha, MN.
Arvilla was born on February 18, 1925 in Nelson. She was the daughter of Bert and Ethel (Anderson) Smeltzer. Arvilla grew up in Nelson and graduated from the Nelson High School. She married Richard Kuhn on June 23, 1923 in Alma. After marriage, they farmed on the Maxville prairie until they retired and moved to Durand. Richard passed away on January 28, 2001. Arvilla then moved back to Nelson until 2004 when she became a resident of the St. Elizabeth Health Care Center in Wabasha, MN where she remained the rest of her life.
Arvilla is survived by her daughter, Sandy (Jerry) Brown, of Hudson, two granddaughters, Jeanine (John) Sundt of St. Paul, MN, Lynn Brown of St. Paul, MN, one grandson, Jason Brown of Kasilof, AK, two great grandchildren, Coleman and Jordan Sundt, two sisters, Marion (Jerry) Fitzgerald of Minneapolis, MN and Marcella (Everett) Marcou of Kellogg, MN, one brother, Glenn (Dorothy) Smeltzer of Aitkin, MN, a sister-in-law, Arlene Smeltzer of Eau Galle, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded by her parents, her husband, Richard, one sister Evelyn Branter and one brother, Willmer Smeltzer.
