Terry J Laschinger

Terry J. Laschinger, age 48 of Durand, formerly of Arkansaw, died Tuesday, October 27, 2009 in the Town of Knapp, rural Black River Falls of heart complications.

Terry was born on June 10, 1961 in Eau Claire and he was the son of Robert and Lorena (Brantner) Laschinger. He grew up in Arkansaw on the family farm and attended and graduated from Durand High School in 1979. Terry attended post secondary school before returning to the family farm to farm. Terry married Carol Qualley in Eau Claire in 1983 and they later divorced. In 2003 Terry retired from farming and started working road construction for Timme Construction and most recently for Hoffman Construction out of Black River Falls.

Terry was a loving, caring and devoted father. He loved farming and working the land, his motto was work hard, play hard. Terry was a fun loving social person who said that life was all about embracing the people in your life and people you meet along the way. Terry enjoyed snowmobiling, spending time with his sons and his life partner, Connie Schneider.

Terry is survived by his two sons, Troy and Todd both of Arkansaw, his life partner, Connie Schneider of Durand, his parents, Robert and Lorena Laschinger of Durand, four sisters, Carol (Kevin) Kirk of Eau Claire, Nancy (James Hathaway) Richardson of Arkansaw, Bernice Laschinger of Campbell, CA and Mary Laschinger of Brussels, Belgium, three brothers, Eugene (Julie) of Verona, Michael (Cheryl) of San Jose, CA and Patrick (Lynne) of High Point, NC, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Terry will be greatly missed by all of his family, friends and associates that he has met over the years.
