James R. Fedie age 81 of Mondovi, formerly of Durand

Jim was the son of Paul and Alice (Urness) Fedie. He was raised in Pepin County. Jim attended Sacred Heart School at Lima, graduating in 1946. After high school Jim enter the U.S. military service. He served 26 years in the U.S. Air Force, retiring at the rank of Senior Master Sgt. In 1960 Jim married Marianne Simatis. After serving in the Air Force, he and his wife settled in Tucson AZ. Jim earned a Masters Degree from the University of Arizona. He then worked teaching and supervising young handicapped adults in Kingman Arizona. His wife Marianne passed away in 1993. He has been living in Mondovi for the past four years.
Jim is survived by four sisters, Carol (Paul) Bauer and Betty Myers of Durand, Mary Jane (Wayne) Kralewski and Janette (Joe) Hoover of Rock Falls, two brothers, Ronald (Bev) of Nisula MI, Paul (Carol Jean) of Durand and many nieces nephews and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, two brothers, Dale and Charles and one sister, Rita Brunner.
