Rick was the son of George Jr. and JoAnn (Bignell) Brantner. He was born in Durand and grew up mostly in Pepin. He graduated from Durand High School in 1975. Rick married Calla Marie Clark January 25, 1980 at the United Methodist Church in Durand. Rick and his family have been living in Durand since 1986.
Rick was an avid Packer fan, enjoyed and collected model trains, enjoyed woodworking and gardening. But he enjoyed his family most of all.
Rick is survived by his wife Calla, one son, Daniel of Durand, his mother, JoAnn (Frank) Pugh of Chattanooga, OK, two brothers, Randy (Linda) of Arkansaw, Reginald (Debbie) of Austerlitz, NY, two sisters; Rebecca Isaacs of Menomonie, Shelia (Bruce) Anderson of Knapp, many nieces and nephews, special friends, Dave Bauer of Durand and Dennis Elrod of Hudson. He was preceded in death by his father, George Jr. and his grandparents, George Sr. and Orlin and Mabel Bignell.
