Arline H Coulson
Arline H. Coulson, age 84 of Durand, died Sunday, March 14, 2010 at the Home Place Assisted Living in Mondovi.
Arline was born on May 15, 1925 in the Durand area, where she lived her entire life. She was the daughter of Ray and Agnes (Thompson) Coaty. Arline attended and graduated from Durand High School. Arline had various jobs in the Durand Area. She married Galen Coulson October 26, 1948 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Durand. After marriage, they raised their family in Durand.
Arline was always on the go. She loved spending time with her family playing cards and games, knitting, sewing and fishing. She was an active member of Faith Lutheran Church for many years and was a member of the ladies aid group. Arline and Galen enjoyed traveling and in later years, they spent their summers at their home in the Hayward Area on the Chippewa Flowage.
Arline is survived by her husband of 61 years, Galen, two sons, Scott (Judy) of Chippewa Falls and Gary (Diane) of Lakeville, MN, five grandchildren, Chad (Melissa), Lisa (Michael), Kyle (Christina), Jenna and Michael, eight great grandchildren, Haylee, Nathan, Steven, Kathryn, Andrew, Logan, Madysen and Jonathan, one sister, Marie King, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Richard and LeRoy Coaty.
