Geraldine R. Solveson, age 85 of Plum City, died Saturday, March 13, 2010 at her home in Plum City.

Geri was born on August 3, 1924 in Anoka, MN on her family farm. She was the daughter of Gerald and Mildred Wallick. She grew up around the Anoka area and graduated from Anoka High School. After high school, Geri worked various jobs before she married Merlin Steenerson in 1971. Merlin later passed away in 1977. Geri married Neil Solveson on October 24, 1992 at St. Johns in Plum City. They made their home on the Solveson farm until the summer of 2003. They then moved into Plum City right next to St. Johns where she remained the rest of her life.

Geri was an active member of the Ladies Legion Auxiliary, she volunteered as a teacher’s aide at both the catholic school and the public school, and she enjoyed watching football and reading. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Geri is survived by her husband Neil, her stepchildren, Terry, Mark (Lise), Judy (Paul) LeFebvre and Scott, three brothers, Daniel, Thomas and Edward Wallick, one sister Barbara Poole, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Merlin Steenerson, one sister, Benita Wallick and two brothers, Lawrence and Jack Wallick.
