Ila D Donley
Ila D. Donley, age 77 of Menomonie, died peacefully Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at the Oakwood Villa Nursing Home in Altoona.
Ila was born on September 16, 1932 in Shawano to Howard and Ila (Dunn) Ebert. She attended Durand High School and graduated in 1950. Ila then attended St. Mary’s School of Nursing in Rochester, MN where she obtained her LPN training. Ila married Jerry Donley on June 24, 1955 in Durand. She worked many years at the nursing home at Memorial Hospital in Menomonie. Ila retired from the Red Cedar Medical Center in 1997 after working for Dr. Cynthia Fay and Dr. Daniel Johnson for about 14 years.
Ila was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Menomonie. She will be remembered as a very kind person and will be missed by her family and many friends.
Ila is survived by her three children, Mike (Donna) Donley and their daughter, Rachel, of Menomonie, Becki Donley of Germany, Sue (Brian Johnson) Bauer and her daughter, Brookelyn Bauer, of Menomonie, one sister Shirley (William) Krause of Fountain City, two nieces and one nephew, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jerry, one sister, Bonita “Mickey” Ebert and a son-in-law, Todd Bauer.
