Marjorie J.Grohn
Marjorie L. Grohn age 47 of Elk Mound, slipped away peacefully from us on Monday April 19, 2010 at her home in rural Elk Mound.
Margie was born May 27, 1962 in Eau Claire, but grew up in Clear Lake. She was the daughter of Robert and Laurel (Gregerson) Nelson. She graduated from Clear Lake High School in 1980 and then worked for several years in nursing homes around the area. Margie married Dan Grohn March 5, 1988. She worked in Dan’s Insurance office doing secretarial work for several years. For the last 16 years she has been employed with Aurora Community Services of Menomonie.
Margie loved spending time with her family at home and at their cabin, fishing, being outdoors, all animals especially fond of cats and birds.
Margie is survived by her husband, Dan; three children, Dennis (Julie) Grohn and Josi Grohn both of Elk Mound; Tiffany Grohn of Eau Claire; three grandchildren, Dylan, Eric and Emily; her parents, Robert and Laurel Nelson of Clear Lake; four sisters, Kathy (Dan) Mason of Kalispell, MT; Wendy Hockbein of Vadnais Heights, MN; Lynette (Gary) Hupfer of Cadott; Ellen Nelson of Baldwin; two brothers, Jon (Mae) Nelson of El Paso, TX; Gary (Patty) Nelson of Clear Lake; father-in-law, Gordon (Phyllis) Grohn of Eau Claire, along with several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Lois Grohn and a brother-in-law, Jeff Hockbein.
