Clara M Kaiser
Clara M. Kaiser age 80 of Menomonie, died Thursday May 6, 2010 at Country Terrace Assisted Living in Menomonie with hospice.
Clara was born June 2, 1929 in Menomonie. She was the daughter of Joseph and Dorothy (Stoll) Matter. Clara grew up in Menomonie and graduated from Menomonie High School. Following high school, Clara worked at Montgomery Wards in Menomonie in the bookkeeping department. Clara married Galen S. Bauer on September 5, 1951 at St Joseph’s Catholic Church in Menomonie. Following her marriage to Galen, Clara worked several more years at Montgomery Wards before devoting her life to being a fulltime housewife and mother. Clara enjoyed entertaining her local Canasta Card Club and in later years of her life devoted much of her time to her family’s genealogy. Galen passed away in 1994 and in 1995 she married Edward Kaiser.
Clara is survived by her husband Edward of Ridgeland; a son Tom (Kathy) Bauer of Menomonie; two granddaughters, Sara (Jess) Carstens of Colfax; Heather Bauer of Rochester, MN; a great grandson Jacob Carstens of Colfax; her mother, Dorothy Matter of Menomonie; four brothers, Harold (Carol) Matter of Dixon, CA; Donald Matter of Vashon Island, WA; Jim (Faith) Matter of Augusta; Richard (Kathie) Matter of Eau Claire; nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her father, Joseph Matter; her first husband Galen Bauer; a sister-in-law, Mary Matter; a nephew, Jeffrey Matter.
