Revena C. Connor age 96 of Menomonie, died Thursday, January 24, 2008 at the Care Partners Assisted Living Center in Menomonie.
Revena was the daughter of Martin and Emma (Beskar) Golden. She was born May 6, 1911. Revena was raised on the home farm in the Gilman Township, rural Spring Valley. Revena graduated from the Spring Valley High School and went on to graduate from the River Falls Teachers College. She taught at several elementary schools in the area before meeting and marrying Frank W. Connor on June 19, 1945 in Ellsworth. After marriage, they move to Menomonie, where Revena taught at the Coddington Elementary School and St. Joseph’s Catholic Schools. Revena’s teaching career spanned over 45 years. Revena was an active member of St. Joseph’s Parish.
Revena is survived by her daughter, Nancy (Connor) Arrell of Minneapolis, MN. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Frank in 1993 and one sister Rose Brookshaw.
