Frederick J. Schlosser, age 90 of New Berlin, formerly of Eau Galle, died Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at his home in New Berlin with his family by his side.

Fritz was born on April 26, 1920 in Eau Galle. He was the son of Frank and Henrietta (Webb) Schlosser. Fritz married Jessie Hoyt. He joined the U.S. Army and served in Germany and was a Sergeant in the Motor Pool. After his service, he went to refrigeration school in Minnesota. While on vacation in Milwaukee, he found a job at Sears, moved down there and worked for Sears for 33 years. He moved back to Eau Galle after retirement. Due to his illness, he went down to Milwaukee to be with his family.

Fritz was a “fixer” he could fix and repair anything, especially clocks and watches. He loved to run his radio controlled airplanes, being an avid jokester and watch wrestling. Most of all, Fritz loved spending time with family and friends.

Fritz is survived by one son, Tim (Toni) of New Berlin, three grandchildren, April (Brad) Grochowski of West Allis, Luke and Damon, both of New Berlin, four great grandchildren, Brandon, Davan, Jared and Elissa, three brothers, Jim of Eau Galle, Bernard (Beatrice) of Bloomer, Leonard (Luetta) of Elmwood, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, two daughters, Mary Ann Schlosser and Rose Schlosser, one grandson, Chad Schlosser, five sisters, Marian Schlosser, Sr. Henrice Schlosser, Ester Marie Schlosser, Catherine Berger and Dorothy Caturia, two brothers, Cyril and Lawrence.
