Diane H Fink
Diane H. Fink, age 45 of Durand, died Thursday, October 7, 2010 as a result of a car accident.
Diane was born on October 1, 1965 in the Twin Cities. She was the daughter of Dennis and Mary Ann (Steinhagen) Hron. She grew up in Shakopee, MN and graduated from Shakopee High School in 1984 and attended the University of Minnesota-Duluth. Diane married Matthew Fink on July 29, 1990 in Shakopee, MN. In 1995 Diane and Matt moved to Durand, where she worked for Maiden Rock Apple Orchard in the fall and raised her family.
Diane loved to quilt; she was a member of many quilting groups from Wabasha, River Falls, Hudson and Durand. She taught many people throughout the area and gave them the passion to quilt. Diane enjoyed canning everything from pickles, venison and apple chutney. She liked to go camping and was an avid NASCAR and Minnesota Viking fan. Diane was a member of the Durand Fire Ladies Auxiliary. Most of all, Diane loved to spend time with family and friends.
Diane is survived by her husband of 20 years, Matt, two sons, Cody and Dustin, both of Durand, her parents, Dennis and Mary Ann Hron of Shakopee, MN, three brothers, Michael Hron, Patrick Hron and David Hron, all of Shakopee, MN, two sisters, Denise Hron and Linda Swanson, both of Shakopee, Godparents, other relatives and friends.
