Catherine N Simpson
Catherine N. Simpson age 47 of Menomonie, a woman of great faith, entered in to our Lord’s grace February 2, 2008 at her home, surrounded by the love of her family.
Cathy was born in Chicago, IL, grew up in Wheaton, IL and attended St. Francis High School. She received both her undergraduate and Master’s Degrees, from Marquette University. Cathy worked as a Speech Pathologist at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire.
Cathy loved her family, friends, work, and her faith. She enjoyed parenting, cooking, biking, cross-country skiing, music and gardening. Cathy shared her musical talents as part of the St. Joseph’s Folk Group and graced the stage in many theatrical productions. She volunteered her time to the benefit of many, especially the children of St. Joseph’s School.
Cathy is survived by her husband Hank, three remarkable children, Erin, Daniel and Grace, sisters, Maripat (Charles) Toye and Carol (Bill) Hartzell, a brother James Norris, as well as in-laws, Robert J. Simpson, Robert (Janet), James (Kathy), Dan (Diane) and Matt (Kris) Simpson, Carol (John) Buhlman, Ruth (Joe) Robelia, Marguerite (Bill) Schutten, Helen (Bob) Kees, Bridget (Paul) Kovacs and Barbara (James) Schuh, numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and a multitude of friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Mary Agna Norris, her brother Edward Norris, sister-in-law, Diane Norris, grandparents, Ray and Euna de St. Aubin and James and Nora Norris.
