Mary F. Spindler age 91 of Menomonie,

Died Sunday January 30, 2011 at the Dunn County Health Care Center in Menomonie.

Mary was born May 31, 1919 in the Township of Weston, rural Menomonie, the daughter of Frank and Frances (Stoll) Wedam. Mary grew up in the Weston Township. As a young adult she worked at Parker Pen, Lakeside Aluminum, Canning Co. and Presto Industries in Eau Claire. Mary married Robert F. Spindler October 26, 1946 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Menomonie, where she was a lifetime member. After retiring from Stout after 22 years, Mary enjoyed being a food demonstrator at Don’s Super Value and Leever’s. Mary was an active member of St. Joseph’s P.C.C.W., Dunn Co. Homemakers. Mary and Bob loved to travel; one of their highlights was a trip to Germany. They loved to snowmobile; they belonged to an antique auto club, and enjoyed trips to the casino.

Mom had a sparkling personality; she was hard working, creative, fun loving and witty. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother. We will miss her smile and twinkle……..Love you more.

Mary is survived by two daughters, Coleen (Dennis) Simpson and Becky (Mark) Nelson both of Menomonie; one son Patrick of Sebeka, MN; six grandchildren, Jason (Michelle) Simpson; Jeff (Autumn) Simpson; Steven (Nicole) Schaefer; Mandy (Scott) Wolbert; Michael (Kristi) and Adam Spindler; nine great grandchildren, Morgan, Mark, Sydney, Sierra, Matthew, Lucas, Annella, Gunner and Steele; one sister, Bertha (Oliver) Krieger of Rogers, MN; three sisters-in-law, Eleanor Wedam of Boulder, CO; Lorraine “Rainie” Wedam and Lorraine Wedam both of Menomonie; many nieces, nephews and other relative and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Robert in 2007; four sisters, Ann Hofacker, Elsie Gatten, Rose Hofacker, Louise Steinke; three brothers, Joseph, John and Alvin Wedam.
