Died: Sunday January 30, 2011 at the Dunn County Health Care Center in Menomonie surrounded by his family.

Jerry was born April 25, 1932 Township of Canton, Buffalo County, rural Durand. He was the son of Albert and Agnes (Anibas) Fedie. He grew up in that community and attended school at Lima. Jerry married Delores Caturia May 6, 1952 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Arkansaw. Shortly after marriage Jerry was drafted into the U.S. Army during the Korean War. After service he returned home where he drove truck for a short time. He then took a job in South St. Paul at a meat packing plant. Jerry had the opportunity to further his education at the Durand Hardware Store, where he attended appliance repair training in Minneapolis at the Frigidaire Co. Jerry worked for the Durand Hardware Store as an appliance repair technician for approximately 23 years. Jerry moved to Wheeler where he started H & J Appliance Services and worked until his loss of eyesight due to macular degeneration. In 2008 Jerry and Delores moved to Menomonie where he remained the rest of his life.

Woodworking was Jerry’s passion. He loved to go out into the woods and select the lumber he would need for his projects.
