Lorraine W. Schutts age 93 of Menomonie,
Died: Tuesday February 8, 2011 at Red Cedar Medical Center in Menomonie.
Lorraine was born January 31, 1918 in Boyceville. She was the daughter of Jacob and Anna (Schafer) Wisemiller. Lorraine grew up in the Boyceville area, graduating from Boyceville High School in 1935. After high school, Lorraine worked in Menomonie for several years. She married George Schutts January 7, 1943 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Menomonie. After marriage they lived in Eleva for a short time before they moved back to Boyceville to take over the Wisemiller family farm. They owned and operated the family farm for many years. Besides farming and raising her family, Lorraine worked at the University of Wisconsin-Stout. George died in 1973 and 1976 Lorraine sold the farm and moved to Menomonie where she continued working at Stout until she retried in 1983. During her retirement years she enjoyed traveling, golfing, bowling, doing volunteer work for the Myrtle Werth Hospital Auxiliary and St. Joseph’s P.C.C.W.
Lorraine is survived by her children, Ronald (Diane) of Southern Pines, NC; Lynda Henderson of Eau Claire; Michael (Sharon) of South St. Paul, MN; Gary (Joanne) of Forest Lake, MN; eight grandchildren, two step grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and five step great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband George; two brothers, Keith and Lloyd Wisemiller and a sister Norma Wisemiller.
