Martha "Jayne" Steinke
Martha J. “Jayne” Steinke age 51 of Menomonie, died February 26, 2011 at Luther Hospital in Eau Claire. She is now at the end of her journey and back in the arms of God with her mother and father.
Jayne was born on May 13, 1959 in Louisville, KY. She was the daughter of Charles and Mary (Berry) Rush. Jayne grew up in the Louisville area and graduated from Western High School. Shortly after school, Jayne moved to Atlanta, GA and managed a restaurant there, she eventually opened her own restaurant in Atlanta.
Jayne married Jon M. Steinke on October 31, 2000 in Atlanta. In 2002, Jayne and Jon moved from Atlanta to the Menomonie area where Jayne continued to work in the hospitality field.
Jayne enjoyed playing golf, spending a beautiful day on the lake and riding trails in winter on her snowmobile. Most of all, Jayne was a trusted friend, a very caring and giving person and above all, Jayne would always be there with a smile and an open heart.
Jayne is survived by her husband Jon, five children, Dustin Williams of Atlanta, GA, Lauryn Martin and Kaitlyn (Martin) McGovern, both of Dover, OH, Jessica Jordan of Kingsland, GA and Kelsey Blake of Atlanta, GA, four grandchildren, Hadley, Aiden, Brianna and Madison, four brothers, Chuck, Karl, Terry and Richard, and their families all of the Louisville area, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents.
Jayne gave four gifts of life before she left us, donating her heart, liver and both kidneys to people who needed them.
