Sally A Hayden

In loving memory of Sally Ann Hayden, age 76, of Eau Galle, who passed away on March 16, 2011 at the Oakview Care Center in Durand.

Sally was born on May 28, 1934 in the Eau Galle area. She was the daughter of George and Josephine (Biesterveld) Webb. Sally grew up in Eau Galle and graduated from Durand High School. Sally married James A. Hayden on May 18, 1954 in Eau Galle. After marriage Sally and Jim lived in the Eau Galle area where they raised their family. For the last four years, Sally lived under the great care of the people at the Oakview Care Center in Durand.

Sally was a loyal servant of God and attended St. Henry’s all of her life and took a very active role in the church. She loved to sing and especially enjoyed being a member of the St. Henry’s Polka choir.

Sally was a devoted mother and loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She always had a smile on her face and loved when they came to visit. Sally loved to cook, cater, can from her huge garden, decorating ceramics-painting and firing 100’s of pieces, crocheting doilies, putting together puzzles, dancing, and singing.

Sally is survived by her husband of 56 years James, daughter Donna Bucholtz of Rice Lake, sons Jim (Pam) of Carrollton, Texas, Robert (Lana), Randy (LuAnn), and Dan (Karla), all of Durand. She is also survived by her 10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, one brother and two sisters.

Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, March 21, 2011 at St. Henry’s Catholic Church in Eau Galle. Rev. Jerry Hoeser will officiate. Friends may call from 4-8PM Sunday at the Rhiel Funeral Home in Durand and one hour prior to services at the church on Monday.
