Marcella L. Wagner, age 90 of Durand, died Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at Sacred Heart Hospital with family by her side.

Marcella was born February 5, 1921 in Chippewa Falls. She was the first daughter of Louis and Eleanor (Schauer) Rineck. She grew up on a farm in the Hatchville area of Dunn County. Marcella married Emil Wagner on August 16, 1939 in Menomonie. After marriage they lived in Hatchville and later in Eau Galle where she raised her family. When her children where older, Marcella worked as a Dietary Manager at the Chippewa Valley Hospital for many years retiring at age 65. When Emil retired, Marcella and Emil made their home in Durand. For the last four years, Marcella has been a resident of the Oak View Care Center in Durand.

Marcella enjoyed playing cards, knitting, sewing, quilting and trips up north. Marcella’s passion in life was her grandchildren. Her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren held a special place in her heart. Marcella loved life and spending time with friends, despite her many chronic illnesses, she always found a way to beat the odds and have a positive outlook on life.

Marcella is survived by her three children, Gene (Jeanie) of Albuquerque, NM, Karen (Ron) Koshosheck of Chippewa Falls and Jeffrey (Carol) Wagner of Denver, IA, eight grandchildren, Randy (Kim) Wagner of Mandeville, LA, Lisa Wagner and Brandon Wagner, both of CA, Kara Ann Anibas of Arkansaw, Patrick (Andrea) Pickergin of Woodville, Rebecca (Brian) Havens of Durand, Troy Wagner of Plum City and Joe Wagner of Red Wing, MN, 14 great grandchildren, seven great great grandchildren, three brothers, Arnold, Roger and Larry Rineck, three sisters, Vernetta Larson, Ardella Worrell and Deanna Franklin, other relatives and many special friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Emil, a stepmother, Ceceia Rineck, a stepmother, Esther Rineck and three brothers, James, John and Louis Jr. Rineck.
