Janette A Hoover

Janette A. Hoover, age 62 of Rock Falls died Monday, August 22, 2011 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire with her family by her side.

Janette was born on November 8, 1948 in Durand. She was the daughter Paul and Alice (Urness) Fedie. Janette grew up in Durand and was a member of the last graduating class of Sacred Heart School in Lima 1966. After high school, Janette attended Eau Claire School of Cosmetology. Janette married Jerald “Joe” Hoover on July 17, 1970 at the Sacred Heart Chapel in Eau Claire. In 1976 Janette and Joe moved to Rock Falls, where Janette raised their family. Later, Janette became the secretary for St. Joseph’s Parish in Rock Falls for many years serving under four priests. Janette retired from United Health Care in Eau Claire in 2009.

Janette enjoyed spending time at her winter home in Lake Havasu, Arizona. She also enjoyed her “beach” at her home in Rock Falls. Most of all, Janette loved to spend time with family and friends, especially her granddaughter, Brittany.

Janette is survived by her husband of 41 years, Joe, two sons, Travis (Jodi) and Derek (Special friend Kevin), both of Rock Falls, one granddaughter Brittany Ann of Rock Falls, three sisters, Carol (Paul) Bauer and Betty Myers of Durand and Mary Jane (Wayne) Kralewski of Rock Falls, two brothers, Ronald (Bev) Fedie of Nisula, MI and Paul (Carol Jean) Fedie of Durand, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She preceded in death by her parents, two sons, Justin and Darren, two sisters, Rita Brunner and Lois Fedie, three brothers, Dale, Charles and Jim Fedie.

Janette’s caring and giving spirit lead to her final gift, Janette donated her eyes to the Lion’s Eye Bank of Wisconsin.
