Allan A "Al Caturia

Allan A. “Al” Caturia, age 61 of Elk Mound, passed away suddenly on Monday, August 29, 2011 at the Mayo Clinic Health System in Barron.

Al was born on June 14, 1950 in Chelan, WA. He was the son of Dwight and Ollie (Weger) Caturia. Al grew up in Arkansaw and graduated from Arkansaw High School in 1968. After school, Al enlisted into the U.S. Army and was stationed in Korea, later he was honorably discharged. Al married Susan Ottum on February 23, 1974 in Eau Claire. Al worked various jobs including Menards, Sievwright Construction and in 2005 he retired from Sanna Dairy.

Al was an avid outdoorsman; he loved hunting, fishing, camping, playing cards and golfing. He enjoyed watching and cheering for the Green Bay Packers. Most of all, Al loved spending time with family and friends.

Al is survived by his wife Susan, one son Jeremy of Elk Mound, one daughter Lisa Caturia of Eau Claire, three grandchildren, Dylan, Alaiyna and Jaycie, his father, Dwight of Arkansaw, two brothers, Rick (special friend Sue Siepel) and Jim (Marlene), both of Arkansaw, five sisters, Toni (Dave) Weber of Rapid City, SD, Shirley (Phil) Brantner, Sandy (Mike) Almsted, both of Arkansaw, Mina (Craig) Poeschel of Somerset and Connie (John) Harris of Warner Robbins, GA, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his mother, Ollie Caturia, one son, Allan D. Caturia and a daughter-in-law, Nikki Caturia.
