Robert L Swope
Robert L. “Bob” Swope age 43 of Urne, rural Nelson passed away on Sunday, September 04, 2011 after courageous battle with an illness at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire.
Bob was born on January 27, 1968 in Boulder CO. He was the son of Robert Torres and Sharon Swope. Bob grew up in Erie, CO and graduated from Erie High School. After school Bob worked various jobs in construction before establishing and running his own roofing business, Wisco Roofing. Bob married Deb Myers on December 14, 1996 in Elmwood. After marriage, Bob and Debra lived in Urne where Bob continued to run his roofing business until his illness forced him to retire.
Bob enjoyed working with wood, especially making things for his family and grandchildren. He went on many motorcycle rides with his brother and stepfather. He liked to raise Huskies and take them dog sledding in the winter and cart with wheels in the summer. Bob loved to go fishing with his grandchildren and spend time with his nieces, nephews and family.
Bob is survived by his wife, Deb, children, Mike Niedermann, Heather Peloquin and Amy (Joel) Newton, Goddaughter, Kylee Arthurs, grandchildren, Myles, Alexandria, Justin and Hailey, mother, Sharon (Randy) Brabbit of Nelson, four brothers, Mark (Carrie) Torres, Sean Torres, John Teel and Ken Teel, two sisters, Theresa (Cory) Dillinger and Melissa (Art) Rabehl, special sister, Cheryl Arthurs, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Robert, his grandmother, Stella Swope and his beloved dog, Gabe.
Private family services will be held.
