Amy E Lovell
Amy E. Lovell age 88 of Elmwood, died Tuesday March 20, 2012 at the Heritage of Elmwood Nursing Home in Elmwood surrounded by her family.
Amy was born November 2, 1923 in McGregor, IA, the daughter of Ross D. and Mary Ellen (Stahl) Thornton and grew up in that community. As a young adult she moved to Peoria, IL where she met and married Charles W. Lovell August 15, 1943 in Peoria. They made their home in Peoria for several years before moving to Gays Mills, WI for several years before moving to Milwaukee. A few years later they move to Iowa and in 2000, Amy moved to Elmwood, WI to be closer to her family, where she has remained the rest of her life. During her working years, Amy mostly worked as a Nurses Aid which was her passion.
Amy is survived by her children, Donna (Kenny) Bass of Caledonia; Richard (Lorna) of Texas; Michael (Sue) of Elmwood; Gerald (Linda) of Postville, IA; Jack (Nancy) of Peoria Heights, IL; Mark (Pam) of Rock Hill, SC; Robin (Harvey) Kansaku of Milwaukee; Cathy (Quentin) George of Menomonie; Jane Lovell of Elmwood; 24 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, seven great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Pearl Wittenberg of Texas; Anna Mae Franke of Milwaukee; many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Charles in 1982, two sons in infancy, seven brothers and two sisters.
