Gerald "Jerry" Wolf

Gerald E. Wolf age 58 of Menomonie died Saturday March 24, 2012 at his home in Menomonie.

Jerry was born April 22, 1953 in Menomonie and was the son of Everett and Darlene (Krueger) Wolf. He attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he met his wife, Louise Veith. They were married on May 25, 1974, in Sun Prairie. After graduation, they moved back to his hometown and bought his family’s farm in 1979, where they spent their life together.

Jerry was an idealist and a dreamer who always strove, in his own way, to make the world a better place. Those who knew an loved him admired his passion for life, his thoughtfulness, his intellectual curiosity, his sense of humor and adventure and his devotion to all people he cared for. His home and his family were the center of his life. In his spare time, he was happiest reading, learning enjoying nature and tinkering with his collection of International Harvester trucks. Jerry practiced pharmacy in the Chippewa Valley for over 30 years.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Louise; two daughters, Lesla (Michael) Ojeda, of Stanwood, WA; Carole (Stefano) Suman of Falmouth, MA; his parents, Everett and Darlene Wolf of Eau Claire; five siblings, John (Eileen) Wolf of Menomonie; Gordon (Julie) Wolf of Brooklyn Park, MN; Charlene (Kim) Lynum of Altoona, Roger (Deb Maller) Wolf of Denver, CO, Ronald (Melissa) Wolf of Huntington Beach, CA, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

All family and friends are welcome at his Memorial Service 3:00PM Saturday, March 31, 2012 at the Rhiel Funeral Home in Menomonie. A private burial will be held at a later date. Friends may call from 1:00 PM until the time of services at the funeral home on Saturday.

In the spirit of Jerry’s generosity, his family suggests that, in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Stepping Stones of Menomonie, Mayo Clinic Health Systems Home Health and Hospice or the Dunn County Humane Society.
