Daniel H Lohman
Daniel H. Lohman, age 75 of Plum City, died Sunday, April 29, 2012 at the Mayo Clinic Health System- Eau Claire with his family by his side.
Dan was born on September 2, 1936 in Zumbrota, MN. He was the son of Vernie and Mildred (Schumacher) Lohman. Dan grew up in Zumbrota and attended Zumbrota Schools. For the majority of Dan's working career, he drove truck and his last company was Midwest Trucking of Rochester, Minnesota. He married Elaine Kruse in 1956 in Zumbrota, MN. In 1967, Dan's new job moved him and his family to the Plum City area, where he remained the rest of his life. Dan retired in 2003.
Dan loved going to his grandchildren's sporting events, working with horses and watching people go by while sitting in his truck. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Dan is survived by his children; Bruce "Wally" (Rene) Lohman of Pepin, Linda (Chris) Klinski of Plum City, Brian Lohman of Plum City and Brad (Kari) of Seattle, WA, four grandchildren; Breanne, Kyle, Timmy (Fiancé, Kelsey) and Tyler, one brother; Howard (Mary Lou), nephew; Mike, niece; Becky, all of Diamond City, AR, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; Vernie and Mildred Lohman and stepmother, Selma Lohman.
A Celebration of Dan’s Life will be held on Thursday, May 3, 2012 at Molly's on Main Restaurant in Plum City from 5-7 PM.
