Douglas H. "Doug" Kadinger Jr., age 40 of Durand, died Sunday, June 24, 2012 from injuries as a result of Ultralight plane crash in the Town of Maxville, rural Buffalo County.

Doug was born on September 1, 1971 in Durand. Doug grew up in the Durand area and graduated from the Durand High School in 1990. After school, Doug worked at his grandfather and uncle's saw mill until it closed in 1997. Doug married Michele Magnuson in September of 1992 and they later divorced. He then went to work for Buffalo Tie & Lumber in Cochrane. Doug also worked and lived in Florida for three years. He moved back to Durand in 2005 where he has lived ever since. He worked for Dave Baker Trucking, Steve Baier Trucking and he was currently working for RM Schlosser Construction.

Doug loved riding and working on anything that had an engine, his dream was to be able to fly. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Doug is survived by his parents; Budd and Marcia Kadinger of Durand, Douglas Kadinger Sr. of Roundup, MT, one sister; Darcy Kadinger of Durand, maternal grandfather; Fred Breidung of Durand, paternal grandparents, Alex and Irene Kadinger of Nelson, many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, former wife, Michele Magnuson of Winona, MN, special friend, Lori Przybilla, her three sons, Kody, Jordan and Nathon, all of Durand. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother; Gladys Breidung, paternal grandmother; Verla Kadinger and two second cousins, Zachary & Gabriel Breidung.
