Richard "Rick" P Resech
Richard P. "Rick" Resech age 63 of Colfax, passed away on Monday, October 1, 2012 at the Mayo Clinic Health System-Eau Claire, surrounded by his family.
Rick was born July 26, 1949 in Milwaukee. He was the son of Otto P. and Irma K. (Bizer) Resech. Rick grew up in the Milwaukee and West Bend areas and graduated from the West Bend High School in 1967. He attended college at UW-Stevens Point and later transferred to UW-Stout in Menomonie. Rick married Beth Brown on June 1, 1974 at the Congregational Church in Menomonie. In 1978, Rick opened with his father, Otto, O&R Equipment, Inc. in Menomonie and ran the business until 2005.
In retirement, Rick enjoyed traveling and restoring classic cars. He has been a member of the Norton Lutheran Church since 1985. Most of all, Rick enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Rick is survived by his wife of 38 years, Beth, his son; Michael and daughter; Katherine (Friend Eric York) Resech, both of New Brighton, MN, one brother; Robert (Diane) of Saskatchewan, Canada, one sister-in-law; Pamela (Dr. Perry Zeeb) Koonz of Racine, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and parents-in-law; Lester C. and Phyllis Brown.
The family thanks all the friends for their love and support during Rick's illness, including the staff at the Cancer Center at the Mayo Clinic Health Systems-Eau Claire.
