Betty Y Perry

Betty Y. Perry, 82, passed away on November 13, 2012 at her home in Deer Park.

Betty was born on September 18, 1930 in Laona, Wisconsin. She was the daughter of Lloyd and Beatrice (Alexander) Abair. Betty grew up in the Chicago area and graduated from Austin High School.

After graduation, Betty married Donald Perry on January 25, 1950 in Chicago. They had 59 wonderful years together, retiring to Deer Park in 1994.

Betty enjoyed collecting antiques and collectibles as well as playing bridge with her friends. She was a diehard fan of the Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears. Betty’s most precious joys in life were her children and grandchildren, whom she loved dearly.

Betty is survived by four children, Suzy (Tom) Byers of Aurora, Mo., Bill (Jane) Perry of Harpers Ferry, W. Va., Joe Perry of Barrington, Il., and Andy Perry of Geneva, Il.; five granddaughters, Kimberly, Annie, Shannon, Abby, and Megan; two great granddaughters, Elle and Zoe; two sisters, Marie Tricomi of Garden City, N.Y. and Louise Leekley of San Francisco, Ca.; and sister-in-law, Mary Abair of Amery.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and two brothers, Lloyd Abair and Gordon Abair.

A private family memorial will be held at a later date.
