Anna Marie Brenner, age 82 of Eau Galle, died Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at the Mayo Clinic Health Systems-Menomonie with her family by her side.

Anna Marie was born on December 17, 1929 in Eau Galle. She was the daughter of Richard and Ida (Weber) Bauer. Anna Marie spent most of her life in the Eau Galle area except for seven and a half years, where Art and Anna Marie farmed early in their marriage. She graduated from St. Henry's grade school and from Durand High School in 1948. Anna Marie married Art Brenner on October 3, 1950 at St. Henry's in Eau Galle. During their farming years, Anna Marie was active in the CCD program, Altar Society, church choir, Polka Choir and she lead the Missouri Valley 4-H Club for more than 20 years.

Anna Marie and Art belonged to the Mondovi Square Wheeler Square Dancing Club during the 60's and 70's. Anna Marie and Art enjoyed bowling, gardening and playing cards. She loved doing alterations and sewing during her retirement years.

Anna Marie is survived by her husband of 62 years, Art, six children; Judy (Gary) Anderson of Onalaska, Pat (Tom) Harris of Cornell, Jan (Dan) Schuler of Elmwood, Bob (Sharon) of Menomonie, Ron (Jackie) of LaCrosse and Karen (Dennis) Ring of Lake Hallie, 12 grandchildren; Brent (Lisa) Schuler, Lindsay (Grant) Lander, Bryce Anderson, Kyle Harris, Kurt (Stefanie) Harris, Kayla, Jason and Steven Brenner, Alexa and Joe Brenner, Whitney and Tyler Pilgrim, one great granddaughter; Addison Schuler, one sister; Arline Smeltzer of Colfax, one sister-in-law; Shari Biskey of Danbury, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, one brother; Jim Bauer and brother-in-law; Wilmer Smeltzer.
