Lawrence G. Webb, age 84 of Eau Galle, peacefully died Monday, January 28, 2013 at his home in Eau Galle.

Lawrence was born on March 18, 1928 at home in Eau Galle. He was the son of George and Josephine (Biesterveld) Webb. He grew up in Eau Galle and attended St. Henry's School. Lawrence worked with his father on the farm for several years. He married Mary Gobel on June 14, 1948 at St. Henry's Church in Eau Galle. After marriage, Lawrence worked at the Eau Galle Cheese Factory. He worked at the cheese factory for over 30 years, retiring in 1987, where he continued to help out around the cheese factory until 2011.

Lawrence was a life long member of St. Henry's Catholic Church in Eau Galle. He enjoyed keeping busy as a cheese maker, gardening, being a carpenter and was very meticulous about his lawn.

Lawrence is survived by his wife of 64 years, Mary, five daughters; Kay (Dennis Turner) Stai of Menomonie, Karla Drinkwine of Knapp, LuAnn Webb of Menomonie, Lori (Kevin Smith) Lupton of Chippewa Falls and Tracy (Chad) Henrickson of Farmington, MN, six grandchildren; Teresa (Collin), Marci (Tom), Tina, Nikki, Riley and Chase, three great grandchildren; Sydney, Samuel and Jack, two brothers; Bill (Virginia) of Eau Galle and David (Julie) of Eau Claire, four sisters; Joan (John) Seipel of Eau Galle, Marilyn (Al) LaBrec of DePere, Judy (Bud) Bland of Wyoming, MN and Nancy (Paul) Calloway of DePere, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers; Gerald and Bernard, three sisters; Cecelia Fedie, Marcella Hurst and Sally Hayden.
