Janet M Seigel
Janet M. Siegel age 65 of Durand, formerly of Minnesota died Saturday April 20, 2013 at Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire, surrounded by her family.
Janet was born April 10, 1948 in St. Cloud, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Arnold and Sally (Theisen) Maile and grew up in the St. Cloud area. Janet graduated from St. Cloud Tech High School in St. Cloud. Janet married Ronald Siegel of St. Cloud and they later divorced. In 1978 Janet moved to St. Louis Park, MN where she raised her two daughters. During this time Janet worked in bookkeeping for Coast to Coast Hardware Stores and for Nelson & Nelson Jewelry Repair Company. In 2005 Janet moved to Durand to be closer to her family. Recently Janet worked in the Payroll Department for Marten Transport in Mondovi until ill health.
Janet enjoyed reading, doing craft work and spending time with her grandchildren.
Janet is survived by her daughters, Christy (Gary) Gundlach of Modesto, CA; Danielle (Kyle) Hagness of Durand; six grandchildren, Brittany, Kaitlin and Connor Gundlach; Ainsley, Kendall and Alex Hagness; her mother, Sally Maile of Cold Spring, MN; two sisters, MaryAnn (Dick) Fruth of Monticello, MN; Donna (Marlin) Langner of Plymouth, MN; one brother, Dennis (Susan) Maile of Clearwater, MN. Janet is preceded in death by her father Arnold and a brother Duane.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday April 24th, 2013 at the Rhiel Funeral Home in Durand with Rev. Al Jakubowski officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Durand.
Friends may call from 1:00 PM Wednesday until the time of the services at the Rhiel Funeral Home.
