Eva J Erpenbach
Eva J. Erpenbach, age 87 of Elk Mound, died Friday, July 19, 2013 at Mayo Clinic Health Systems-Eau Claire with her family by her side.
Eva was born on June 9, 1926 in Elk Mound. She was the daughter of Roy and Elizabeth (Schaff) Smith. Eva grew up in Elk Mound and graduated from Elk Mound High School. She married Mathew J. Erpenbach on September 23, 1944 in Elk Mound. After marriage they made their home in Elk Mound, where Eva raised their family. For the last 3 years, Eva has been a resident of the Dunn County Health Care Center in Menomonie.
Eva enjoyed gardening, canning, cooking and playing cards. Her passion in life was her kids and her family, she always had time to make a meal and spend time with them. Eva was an inspiration to her children and will be deeply missed by her family.
Eva is survived by her children; Dennis (Mary) of Elk Mound, June (Alan) Tyrrell of Menomonie, Mary (Roger) Olson of Eau Claire and Alice (Jeff) Debee of Menomonie, eight grandchildren; Tim (Michelle), Jill (Scott), Terry (Nola) Tammy, Ryan (Alycia), Lindsay (Jeremy), Daniel (Laura) and Alissa (Erik), five great grandchildren; Justin, Bailey, Caitlyn, Alexis and Miranda, three step great grandchildren; Matt, Steven and Jonathon, two brothers; Edward (Doris) Smith of Eau Claire and Dale (Ruth) Smith of Ft. Collins, CO, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband; Mathew, one sister; Eleanor Fuerst and three brothers; Frederick, Ralph and Charles Smith.
