Veva J Ottman
Veva J. Ottman age 81 of Elmwood, died Wednesday August 7, 2013 at Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire.
Veva was born May 26, 1932 in Alexandria, MN. She was the daughter of E.W. and Hertha (Raybold) Shepherd. As a young child the family moved to Mt. Clemens, MI and where she grew up. Veva graduated from Mt. Clemens High School and worked at various jobs in Mt. Clemens. She married Richard Ottman May 25, 1957 in Mt. Clemens and made their home there while Dick was in the U.S. Air Force. In 1961 they moved to Elmwood where they raised their family. Veva worked at Ottman's Grocery Store for a few years before she began working for the Elmwood School System in the Superintendent’s office for 27 years, retiring in 1994. Veva enjoyed visiting with people, listening to stories and spending time with family and friends.
Veva is survived by her husband Dick, of 56 years; two sons, Tim (Tina) of Cottage Grove; Jim (fiancé` Carol) of Somerset; a daughter, Jode (Rick) Ottman of Elmwood; a sister Marlene (Pat) Conley of Pensacola, FL. She is preceded in death by her parents.
