Eileen M Butler

Eileen M. (Weiss) Butler, age 87 of Rock Falls, died Saturday, August 17, 2013 at Heritage Court in Eau Claire with her family by her side.

Eileen was born on July 4, 1926, the daughter of Sigfred and Louise (Pichler) Weiss. She was raised in the Town of Albany, rural Pepin County.

Eileen married Omer Butler on November 18, 1946 at Sacred Heart Church in Mondovi. They resided in Dunn County. While caring for and raising their family together, she also helped with farm chores and managed to grow large gardens and flowers. In later years, she had time add many flowers to her garden and other locations around the farm. Eileen also had a great joy in feeding and watching the birds. Her hard working hands also did many crafts and jigsaw puzzles. Eileen was also a whiz at cross-word puzzles. Her biggest joy was her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren who always put a smile on her face. No one ever left her home hungry! Before the loss of Omer in 2005, they had fun times traveling, playing cards and bowling with family and friends.

Eileen is survived by six daughters; Kathy (Rick) Risler of Menomonie, Peggy (Ken) Manor of Durand, Cindy (Herb) Weiss of Glendive, MT, Ginger (Terry) Riley of Menomonie, Gloria Bishop of Glendive, MT and Stacy (Rod) Berger of Rock Falls, one son; Jim (Jaylene) of Maple Grove, MN, 15 grandchildren; Becky, Dodie, Josh, Dustin, Amy, Ryan, Jamie, Jessie, Adam, Amber, Aaron, Afton, Brett, Dylan and Austin, 17 great grandchildren, five step great-grandchildren, two sisters; Rosina Brand of Kenosha and Laura Berger of Wisconsin Dells, four brothers; Bill (Zita) Weiss, Sig (Denise) Weiss, Tom (Judy) Weiss, all of Durand, Roland Weiss of Racine, three sisters-in-law; Lois Weiss of Durand, Phyllis (Butler) Trice and Caryl Butler of Rock Falls, one brother-in-law; Brian Butler of Rock Falls, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
