Beulah B. Manore, age 95,

Born: January 20, 1913

Died: May 27, 2008 at the Red Cedar Medical Center in Menomonie.

Beulah was the daughter of Joseph C. and Isabelle (Maxfield) Schaffner. She was raised in Dunn County, rural Durand. She attended Lima School and graduated from Durand High School. On April 17, 1936, Beulah married Glenn H. Manore in Elmwood. After marriage, they lived and farmed in rural Arkansaw. They later moved to the Eau Galle Area. Her husband Glenn passed away in 1968. She then worked at Williams Locker Plant in Durand until she retired. Beulah was an excellent seamstress throughout her life. In her later years she made her home with her daughter Joann in Durand. For the past 2 ½ years, she has resided at the Heritage of Elmwood Nursing Home in Elmwood.

Beulah loved to spend time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was an avid fisherwoman and gardener for most of her adult life. She will be sadly missed by family and friends.

Beulah is survived by one son, Calvin C. (Faye) Manore of Atkinson, NC, one daughter, Joann (Russell) Hubbard of Durand, 11 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, two great great granddaughters, two brothers, Cyril Schaffner of Ohio, Norbert Schaffner of Antigo, three sisters, Elenora Van and Darlene (Bob) Carroll both of Minneapolis, MN, and Glenda Armendaris of Falls Church, VA. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Glenn, one grandson, Phillip Manore, two great grandsons, Adam Russell Zierl and Carver Jordan Hubbard, two brothers Donald and Joseph Schaffner, two sisters, Thelma Heit and Violet Schaffner.
