Ruth A Lehmann
Ruth A. Lehmann, age 100, died Friday, June 27, 2008 at the Baldwin Care Center in Baldwin.
Ruth was born in the Salem Township, rural Pierce County. She was the daughter of Marcus and Florence (Stevens) Gore. Ruth married Arnold C. Lehmann on January 9, 1932. After marriage, they farmed in Pierce and Dunn Counties. After Arnold's death in 1962, Ruth worked as a cook at the University of Wisconsin-Madison until her retirement. After retirement, she moved to Eau Claire. She moved to rural Woodville from 1972-1984 before returning to Eau Claire. For the past three years, Ruth has been a resident of the Baldwin Care Center in Baldwin.
Ruth is survived by her children, Elinor (James) Nelson of Woodville, Alvin (Mary) Lehmann of Eau Claire, Catherine (Dale) Southard of Eau Claire and Rose Acheson of Richmond, VA, 13 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, five great great grandchildren, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Arnold, son, Arthur, one brother, Delbert Gore, two sisters, Margaret Carlson and Florence Wood.
