Irene M. Dahlby age 95 of Menomonie,
Died: Monday June 30, 2008 at the Dunn County Health Care Center in Menomonie.
Irene was born July 23, 1912 in Menomonie. She was the daughter of Frank and Mary (Michelbook) Cramer and was raised in Menomonie. Irene married Einer Dahlby. After his death Irene worked for many years at Ben Franklin Crafts. Following that, she worked for House Calls assisting elderly people with their needs.
Irene was active for many years with the Menomonie Moose Lodge. She went through all the chairs and served as Senior Regent. She was a member of the Moose Lodge Clown Club which entertained at nursing homes and participated in parades. She was an avid bingo player, loved to play cards, and enjoyed crocheting. Irene will be missed her loving family and friends.
She is survived by two daughters, Audrey (John) Kitchner of Menomonie; Judy (Jerry)
Thornton of North Port, FL; a daughter-in-law, Kathy Dahlby of South Carolina; nine grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren; a sister Eva Hoffman of Owosso, MI; several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Irene is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Einer in 1962; a son Ronald in 1991; five brothers Richard, Fritz, Leo, Neil and Wilbur Cramer; four sisters Idelle Dahlby, Mary Kirkwood, LaNiece Pape, Helen Cole.
A Women of the Moose Service will be held at 2:45 PM Thursday July 3, 2008 at the Rhiel Funeral Home in Menomonie followed by
